Beat the clock in a series of fun and frantic mini games

Hardest Game Ever 2 is an immensely enjoyable game of skill where you must tackle a series of silly challenges and beat the clock.

What's the Hardest Game Ever 2 all about?

Hardest Game Ever 2 consists of a series of 24 different mini games, divided into four different skill levels. In each one you must perform a particular feat within a given time limit to pass to the next. To pass to the next difficulty stage and therefore unlock the next six levels, you need to earn a star (i.e. excpetional performance) on at least three of the levels within a difficulty ranking.

The challenges in Hardest Game Ever 2 are brilliantly bizarre, ranging from 'Morning Toilet Rush', in which you have to climb stairs to the toilet as fast as you can, to 'Slap a Lot', where you must slap a man around the face exactly 37 times.

As you can guess from the name, Hardest Game Ever 2 is pretty tough. The challenges seem simple when explained at first but the fact that you have to be so quick and not make mistakes means some of the levels require plenty of practice. Despite its difficulty it's possible to work through the 24 levels fairly rapidly, as long as you don't expect top marks on all of them.

What are the controls?

The controls in Hardest Game Ever 2 aren't difficult to figure out. Most of the mini games require you to bash on-screen buttons or tap a certain part of the screen repeatedly. Each challenge is explained very well before you start so you instantly have a good idea of what you're supposed to be doing.

One of the most frustrating things about Hardest Game Ever 2 is that to restart a level you have to navigate right back to the main menu and enter the game again. There is a restart option, but you're limited to just ten restarts before you'll need to pay.

Cute, colorful graphics

Although it doesn't feature lavish, 3D graphics, Hardest Game Ever 2 is charming to look at. The cartoon graphics are very funny and the chaotic presentation of the game has a very Japanese game show feel to it. The repetitive, up-tempo music that plays on a constant loop will drive you crazy, though it does help add to the manic mood of the game.

The verdict

Contrary to its grandious name, Hardest Game Ever 2 can be beaten fairly quickly since there are just 24 levels - and more are needed. However, playing these frantic mini games is a real joy and will keep you entertained for a long time.
